We at BritishBits have taken a cast from a pre-1939 Mark 1 K6 original telephone box and created a fibreglass version, with reinforced steel frame, which has been converted to a sofa/lounger. This phone box was manufactured at the Carron Foundry and is one of the earliest K6s manufactured in Britain.
It was last situated in Trafalgar Square, London, WC2N 5DS. A brass plaque details the provenance of the phone box.
It looks exactly like a telephone box but with the added benefits of it being lighter, more practical and is for indoor use. The glass TELEPHONE signs are illuminated by a LED panel drawing 36 watts and rated for 50,000 hours of use. The sofa/lounger is luxuriously upholstered in red E-Leather and is a truly amazing looking piece of furniture that will look great in any surroundings.
This product is hand crafted in Britain.
Dimensions: 8ft 4in x 3ft x 3ft Weight approx. 85 kg. We can also break down the sofa for easy access – please let us know if you require this.
Customisation of the sofa includes bespoke colours for the frame, leather and personalisation of TELEPHONE signs. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
Our moulding can be adapted to a variety of uses, you are only limited by your imagination.Download the K6 Sofa Press Release
